New Missionary Orientation - St. Louis

New Missionaries in the Chapel at the LCMS International Center - St. Louis
I am honored to be one among many in this new class of international missionaries! We are serving all over the world, and we get to tell them about the love of God.

For two weeks, my fellow missionaries and I study mission, discuss logistics, and prepare for Phase 1 of our service: telling you about the work God has called us to do and sharing about the work in the international mission field.

In addition to the learning, we got to know each other and the wonderful people who support our mission from the International Center in St. Louis and our regional offices.

The Latin America team is sending four new missionaries into the field this session. We won't be working in the same countries, so it's really nice to have a chance to meet face-to-face, developing a friendship and rapport since we are all experiencing the same newness of our position as missionary. We were also able to meet with our Regional Director, Business Manager, and Missionary Care Specialist for the first time.

My circle has grown by many in these two weeks!

At the end of our orientation, we met in the chapel with the staff of the International Center behind us in a sending service. It was a beautiful service, and a cherished moment knowing that we are sent out into the world to do God's work and share his Gospel.

Thank you to the staff at the International Center for hosting us, and to my fellow missionaries. I'm blessed to know each of you!
