Serving the Women and Children at La Rancha Ria
This morning we drove to a village church and school called La Rancha. We were blessed to have large groups. We had about 40 women and more than 50 kids! It was a crazy, amazing day filled with the joy of the Lord.
The women's team started the morning with singing and a lesson on Pricilla (if you don't know who she is, look her up). We worked with them creating prayer journals, talking about the benefits of a prayer journal and getting together to pray in small groups.
The children's team took over for afternoon, and with 60 kids we had our hands full. We laughed and sang fun songs. We used the parachute to demonstrate Jesus calming the storm and they colored cute pages o f the story to take home.
The rain hit this afternoon as well, but for much longer...and with a tin roof it's so loud you can't talk. So we sang instead. It was a fantastic day, and we are eager to rest ahead of the groups we will work with tomorrow.
