Day 6: Tilica (a day late)

"Hoy es el dia hecho por mi Dios!" This is the day that the Lord has made! I don't know if that's a precise translation, but that's how we sang it. And boy, can these women and children sing! They taught us some great ones, and we taught them some (including the Doxology), and we sang some in two languages at once. Be sure to ask us about the Laughing Song when we get back.
Women
The coloring pages have also been great fun for the kids -- and for the women. We've had pages to reinforce both of the children's stories, so they can tell the stories to their families. From the littlest children to the teenagers, they'll work quietly on coloring for a good long time. They even share the crayons amicably. And today was the first day we got to blow bubbles with the kids. What a fun time! Today we were in Tilica, an area of Leon, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Being in a different church on each of the five days meant lots of good-byes and lots of "Dios bendiga." Today's goodbyes were especially hard as we parted from our translators. We have come to love them dearly, and they will be in our hearts and prayers.
Translators
Now it's just one more day in country. Another difficult goodbye ahead...   Please hold us in your prayers, as we do you.      (Today's blogger is not your regular blogger and has minimal technical skills. Apologies for not managing to insert pictures in their proper locations.)
